CHRIS PARNELL HOMETOWN- Memphis, Tennesee RESIDES IN- Los Angeles and New York In his first year on "SNL," Parnell appeared in numerous sketches and commercial parodies and performed memorable impressions of NBC News' Tom Brokaw, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Tom Hanks and Kenneth Starr. Chris Parnell was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He received his B.F.A. in drama from North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. He has performed with the Berkshire Theatre festival in Stockbridge, Massachusetts; the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas; and with Los Angeles-based improv/sketch comedy group The Groundlings where current cast members Will Ferrell, Ana Gasteyer, Chris Kattan, Cheri Oteri as well as former cast members Laraine Newman, Phil Hartman and Jon Lovitz began their careers.
